The SelfControl luminaires have an automatic self-checking function, which allows the luminaire to automatically check itself at defined times. This includes a brief function test once a month as well as a 3-hour continuous test once a year. All luminaires in the SelfControl design are fitted with a telltale, the status LED, Green LED is healthy, red LED is faulty.

These luminaires are designed to illuminate via the battery fitted in the luminaire during an emergency.
