St. Martin's Hospital
Nijmegen, Netherlands
The Sint Maartenskliniek in Nijmegen is one of the leading specialist clinics in the Netherlands and Europe. The doctors, nurses and therapists are specialized in the treatment of all orthopedic complaints and rheumatic diseases as well as in rehabilitation after illness or accidents.
In a medical facility, the functionality of the safety systems is particularly important in the event of a power failure or in the event of an emergency, when the building needs to be evacuated. This is why the entire emergency lighting system in the Sint Maartenskliniek was completely replaced. Our Dutch partner Hertek Groep was involved in the project implementation. Almost 1,000 new escape signs and safety lights were installed in the 12 building sections, which are connected via an atrium.
All lights are equipped with individual batteries and connected to each other via Wireless Professional technology. The Wireless Professional control center is connected to the existing Windows operating system via a USB coordinator. With the Wireless Professional software from RP-Technik, all lights are monitored and controlled centrally and wirelessly.
The RP lights mainly used are the slim and universally mountable plastic light KMU001WL for one- or two-sided labeling, the LED safety light ILEF021WL, which is available with four different lenses for different light distribution, and the robust wall-mounted light ZAW011WL made of die-cast zinc with concealed screw connection.
