After-work house Knapsack
Hurth, Germany
The Feierabendhaus has been Knapsack’s landmark since 1957. (Hürth district) The listed architectural gem was initially used as an event building for the employees of what was then Knapsack Griesheim and today it is a place of encounter and dialogue for everyone. Numerous cultural events, theater performances, art exhibitions and concerts, as well as congresses and conferences, take place here every year.
Even at the time of its construction, the Feierabendhaus was considered an outstanding example of 1950s architecture and was listed as a historical monument in 1988. Film companies like to use the unusual architecture as a backdrop for their productions.
